Microneedling in Barrie, at the depth your skin needs.
Microneedling is a family of treatments, and most clinics carry one of them. We run three: standard microneedling, microneedling with PRP, and Sylfirm X radiofrequency microneedling. Which one you need depends on what your skin is doing, which is why the first appointment is an assessment. We are in Innisfil, about 18 minutes south of you on Yonge.

Skin work is a series, so plan the drives
Our address is 7869 Yonge Street in Innisfil. Skin work is the one thing on our menu that runs as a series instead of a single visit, so the drive is worth thinking about before you start. We map the whole schedule against your calendar at the consult, so you know what you are committing to before the first session.
Three kinds of microneedling, one assessment
The word covers very different treatments. Booking the wrong one is how people conclude microneedling did not work for them.
Standard microneedling
Controlled micro-channels that prompt your own collagen. This is the workhorse for texture, fine lines and overall skin quality, and it is the right starting point for most people who have never had needling done.
Microneedling with PRP
The same channels, with platelet-rich plasma drawn from your own blood applied into them. We reach for this when healing and skin quality are the priority, or when standard needling has taken someone most of the way and the last stretch needs more.
Sylfirm X radiofrequency microneedling
Insulated needles delivering radiofrequency at a controlled depth, which puts it in a different category for acne scarring, redness, laxity and pigment. It is the one to ask about if your concern is structural rather than surface.
Assessed by a certified laser technician
Your skin is read by our Clinic Manager, a Medical Aesthetician and Certified Laser Technician with advanced laser certifications and a focus on the skin barrier. She assesses the barrier first, because needling an already compromised barrier makes things worse before it makes them better.
Budget ninety minutes for the first one
Numbing cream goes on first and sits for about 30 minutes, so build that into your drive. The treatment itself runs roughly 30 minutes, and you leave pink and warm, a bit like mild sunburn. We sit inside an NP-led medical clinic, so if your assessment points at something needling alone will not fix, that conversation happens in the same visit. Because this is a series, we can block out the whole run of sessions in one go, and Beauty Club members usually do.

Planning the trip
Four trips over about four months
- Allow about 90 minutes
- Thirty minutes of numbing, about thirty of treatment, plus the drive each way. It is the longest appointment we offer, so a Thursday evening or a Saturday suits most Barrie clients better than a weekday lunch hour.
- You drive home bare-faced
- No makeup goes back on afterwards, and we would rather you did not reapply for the rest of the day. Bring sunglasses and a hat for the drive, especially in summer, and keep your skin out of direct sun while it settles.
- It is a series
- Most plans are three to four sessions four to six weeks apart, with maintenance after that. Four trips down the 400 is a real commitment, so we set the spacing around your schedule at the consult and tell you honestly if a shorter plan would do.
- Blocking out the dates
- Booking runs through Jane if you want to pick sessions one at a time. If you would rather have the whole series blocked out in one go, call (705) 791-8882 and we will set the dates with you.
Common questions: Microneedling in Barrie
I already get facials. Is microneedling worth the drive?+
A facial works on the surface. Microneedling creates controlled micro-channels that prompt your own collagen underneath, which is why the result builds over weeks and over a series. If your concern is texture, scarring or laxity, that is the difference worth driving for. If what you want is a monthly glow, a facial may be all you need, and we will tell you so.
How many sessions before I see a difference?+
Some people notice a fresh glow after the first session, but the change you came in for builds across the series, which for most plans runs to three or four sessions. Each round lays down collagen that takes weeks to show. Sylfirm X protocols vary by concern, and the honest point to judge any of them is at the end of the plan.
Which type should I book?+
Book the consultation and let the assessment decide. Standard microneedling suits texture and general skin quality, PRP adds your own platelets where healing is the priority, and Sylfirm X radiofrequency microneedling is the one for acne scarring, redness, laxity and pigment. Our certified laser technician makes that call with you.
Can I drive back to Barrie straight afterwards?+
Yes. There is nothing sedating about it. Your face will be pink and warm for a day or two, you will be bare-faced, and you should keep out of direct sun, so bring sunglasses for the drive home.
Do you treat acne scarring?+
Yes. Scarring is one of the more common reasons Barrie patients book with us. Acne scarring usually points toward Sylfirm X radiofrequency microneedling rather than standard needling, because the scarring sits deeper than surface channels reach. The assessment establishes which scar types you have before any plan is set.
Book the assessment first, then the series.
One consultation tells you which of the three your skin actually needs. You leave with the session count and the cost for the whole run, so you can decide before you book any of it.
