Lip Filler · Serving Barrie
Lip filler in Barrie, built around your mouth.
Lips are the area our nurse practitioner names as her favourite to treat, and she injects them ultrasound-guided. Real Beauty Rx is about 18 minutes south of Barrie on Yonge Street. We start by reading your lips against your chin and jaw, agree on where you want to land, and use a hyaluronic acid gel that can be dissolved if you change your mind.
Serving Barrie
A short drive south for the area she treats most
Real Beauty Rx is at 7869 Yonge Street in Innisfil. Lips are the treatment Barrie clients most often make that drive for, usually because they have seen work they did not want and are looking for someone who will talk them out of volume as readily as into it. Saturday appointments run 9:00 to 5:00, which is when most people would rather spend the day after swollen.
Technique shows most on lips
Lip filler is the treatment where the work is hardest to hide and the anatomy underneath is least forgiving. Here is what you are driving for.
Lips and chin, read together
Our NP names lips and chin as the areas she most likes to treat, and it is the pairing she teaches. Filler that sits well in the lip usually depends on what is happening at the chin, which is why we look at both before anything is mapped.
Ultrasound-guided, where it matters most
The perioral area carries vessels that are the reason lip filler has a complication profile at all. Injections here are ultrasound-guided, and the NP doing them leads THMA's complication-training course, where other clinicians learn to recognize and manage a vascular event.
Hyaluronic acid, so it can be undone
We use HA gel, which can be dissolved. If you end up unhappy with the shape, or you are carrying filler from somewhere else that you want gone, dissolving is a service we offer here.
Nobody is upselling you a syringe
Sometimes the honest answer at a lip consult is a half syringe, or a different area, or waiting a few months. You will get that answer. We assess first, and the plan comes out of what we find.
Numbing, mapping, then injecting in stages
We numb first, map the shape with you while you are sitting up, and inject in stages so you can watch it building. Most visits run 45 minutes to an hour including numbing time. What it costs comes down to how many syringes your shape actually takes, which is a different answer for someone starting from very little than for someone topping up what they already have. You get the number before we start. If lips become something you keep up once or twice a year, the Beauty Club is worth asking about while you are in the chair.

Planning the trip
Planning the drive around lip swelling
- Do not book it the day before something
- Lips swell, and the swelling usually peaks the day after rather than the day of. If you have a wedding, a shoot or a holiday coming up, give yourself two weeks between the appointment and the event. We will tell you the same thing if you ask us to fit you in sooner.
- You can take yourself home
- There is no sedation and nothing stopping you driving yourself back to Barrie straight after. Bring a water bottle and expect your lips to feel firm and a bit tender for the first day or two.
- Timing your slot
- Saturday 9:00 to 5:00 and Thursday until 6:00 are the two that hand you the rest of the weekend, or the evening, for the swelling to settle before you are back in front of anyone.
- The two-week check
- Lips finish settling at about two weeks, which is the honest point to judge the result. We book a short check-in then, and if the shape needs a small adjustment we handle it at that visit. Call (705) 791-8882 if you would rather sort the timing on the phone.
Common questions: Lip Filler in Barrie
How soon after lip filler can I be back at work looking normal?+
Most people look presentable the next day and fully settled at about two weeks. The first 48 hours are the swollen ones. If you book a Thursday evening or a Saturday, the worst of it lands on your own time rather than in a meeting.
Can I drive myself home to Barrie afterwards?+
Yes. Lip filler uses topical numbing and sometimes a dental block, and neither stops you driving. You will leave with swollen, tender lips and a cold pack if you want one, and you will be fine on the drive home.
I have filler from another clinic that I do not like. Can you help?+
Yes, and this is a common reason Barrie patients come to us. We assess what is in there and where it sits, and dissolving is available. Bring any record you have of what was used and when. If you do not have one, we work from what we can see and feel.
Who injects the lips?+
Both of our injectors treat lips. Our aesthetic nurse injector is an RN who also assists on the THMA Foundations Course the clinic teaches. The booking page names your provider before you confirm, so you will know which of them you are seeing when you make the drive.
How many trips will this take?+
One appointment, then a short check-in at about two weeks once everything has settled. After that, most people come back somewhere between six months and a year, depending on how their lips hold the product. We will give you a realistic interval at your consult so you can plan the drives.
Eighteen minutes, and an honest lip consult at the end of it.
Bring a photo of a shape you like, or bring nothing at all. Either way you leave with a shape mapped against your own chin and jaw, and the number to go with it.
